Premier league giants Chelsea could see one of their first-team stars depart this January as top Spanish side are reportedly enquiring about his availability.
The Blues had to make some big sales during last summer transfer window as they looked to cut down the number of their squad players and keep competition for places healthy. A lot of players were allowed to leave with Lukaku, Chalobah and Conor Gallagher the biggest names of that event.
However, there were players who the club couldn't finalize their exit in time and some who failed to generate enough interest for their departure.
Having said that, Goal in one of their reports have claimed that one of those players would likely leave this January, with Ben Chilwell already drawing interest from AtlΓ©tico Madrid.
As the report claimed, Atletico Madrid is showing strong interest in the Chelsea left-back, with Atletico’s coach, Diego Simeone, very eager to strengthen his options at left-back with Chilwell, who has recently fallen behind cucurella.
Recall that the England star was one of the player's that was asked by Enzo Maresca to leave the club. The 27-year-old was made to train with the reserve team alongside the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Trevoh Chalobah and Armando Broja.
